Because if one more person tells you “just sleep when the baby sleeps” or “it’ll all come naturally,” you might scream.

We’re modern postpartum professionals; part newborn care specialists, part postpartum doulas, part emotional support, part “let’s make sure you actually get to shower today”. Whether you need overnight rest, daytime hands-on help, or a mix of both, we show up ready to make life easier.

Yes, and you deserve it. Unless you request to be woken up for feeds, we handle the entire night shift so you can rest without worry. During the day, we’re happy to keep everything moving so you can nap. Sleep when the baby sleeps works much better when someone else is managing the baby if they don’t.

Absolutely. We support all feeding choices with zero judgement; breast, bottle, chest, combo, pumping, whatever your plan, we’re here for it.

Always. Families come in all forms, and every single one is equal and deserves compassionate, judgement-free care. We’re inclusive and affirming in both language and practice.

Not exactly. While nannies often provide long-term childcare and may stay with a family for years, our work is short-term and specialized. We focus exclusively on newborns and the whole postpartum experience, supporting parents emotionally, physically and practically during those early months.

Unlike most nannies, we are professionally trained and require to stay current on evidence-based newborn care, feeding and sleep. That means our guidance grows with the research (and your baby), rather than relying on what worked 20 years ago.

We offer both daytime and overnight care, not just baby care, but parent care too, helping families rest, recover and find their footing in those first few months.

We currently serve families throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), including Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and surrounding communities.

If you’re outside these areas, don’t worry! We sometimes travel for care depending on availability, distance, and your family’s needs. In those cases, travel fees or accommodation coverage may apply. We may also be able to connect you with trusted referrals in your area.

The earlier, the better! Many families book during their second or third trimester, but we do take last-minute bookings if space allows.

As for how things work? We keep it simple. You choose your service type, days, nights, or both, and contract length. Once booked, those dates are yours, but we know life happens. We do our best to accommodate emergency changes.

You’re in good company. Almost all of our clients come to us this way. We’ll chat through your goals, routines, and energy levels to figure out what kind of care would actually help, not just fill hours. Whether that’s a nights, days, or a mix of both, we’ll tailor it to you. No guilt, no pressure, just practical care that fits your life.

A safe sleep space for baby, clean feeding and changing supplies, and a comfy place near baby for us to rest on an overnight shift; a couch or bed works great. (8 to 12 hours is a long time to sit in a chair!)

That’s a large part of what we do. You can book daytime or overnight visits for reassurance, gentle listening, and practical help to rebuild confidence. We believe care for parents is just as vital as care for babies. While we’re not doctors, and cannot diagnose, we have been trained to spot signs of postpartum mood disorders (PPMDs) and provide calm, compassionate support as well as resources.

Yes. Both Nat and Angelina are PNSWs and have had other training as well. Anyone who works with us has been trained, and has philosophies that align with Cradira Support.

Yes and we love them. We’re trained in safe sleep and feeding for multiples and can help you find a rhythm that works for everyone.

We charge a flat hourly rate based on location and number of babies starting at $45 an hour.

If you’re looking to supplement your support or prefer virtual education check out Cradira Digital, our sibling app for digital postpartum support. It’s full of expert videos, emotional guidance, and evidence based resources for parents anywhere.

A PNSW completes over 100 classroom hours, 500 practicum hours, and a proctored exam, covering everything from conception through the first year postpartum. A doula course, by comparison, is usually a weekend workshop (about 16 hours) with some reading, an open-book test, and a handful of client shifts.

Both can offer great care, and many doulas take multiple trainings to compensate, but PNSWs are also required to have a background check, CPR, and insurance to maintain their professional standing.
